Technology & Campaigning

Next week will be our first week examining how campaigns are using and being changed by technology itself. Enough with the press! Let’s talk about candidates and tactics for a while. We’ll also spend some time covering some some additional tools that will be useful to you in following this race.

I’ve posted all the blogs/sites we covered in class last night here. Look them over, begin to familiarize yourself with them, read them. We’ll return to them next week for your first project of the semester.

I’ve given everyone a few weeks to catch up to the start of the semester, so by next week I expect to see everyone caught up on reading/blogging/del.icio.us-ing. If you’re having any trouble, let me know so we can work it out before class. Enjoy “The First Campaign.” Think about: How did the campaign world change between 1972 and 2008? Blog about what you see as the most significant change since “The Boys on the Bus.”
